As a curator Burning has curated and co-curated the work of Indigenous, Inuit, and Metis youth with Urban Native Youth Association at the Grunt Gallery and Overly Creative Minds studio.

Most recently Burning has co-curated, along with June Scudeler, Unsettling Colonial Gender Boundaries, the media art event for Queer Arts Festival as part of their partnership with Vancouver Indigenous Media Art Festival. Unsettling Colonial Gender Boundaries centres Indigenous experiences of sexuality and gender to consider dichotomies within colonial heteronormative impositions. The show highlighted commissioned work by Thirza Cuthand and Chandra Melting Tallow and also featured work by Raven Davis and Kent Monkman.
